On 23 September 2007, curator JOHN LYONS, President of Production at Focus Features, presented the Katrin Cartlidge Foundation bursary 2007 to CARY FUKUNAGA at the 13th Sarajevo Film Festival.
CARY FUKUNAGA is an MFA candidate from New York University's Graduate Film Program. His short film, VICTORIA PARA CHINO, won more than 22 international awards, including a Student Academy Award, Princess Grace Foundation Grant and Honorable Mentions from BAFTA/LA and the Sudance Film Festival. He currently has two projects in development with Focus Features, the first of which, SIN NOMBRE, work-shopped at the Sundance Institute's Screenwiting and Directing Labs will mark his feature debut.
