STELLAN SKARSGARD selects JUANITA WILSON as Katrin Cartlidge Foundation Bursary recipient 2009

Actor Stellan Skarsgard has selected Irish filmmaker Juanita Wilson to receive the sixth Katrin Cartlidge Foundation Bursary, in recognition of her short film THE DOOR, about a father's desperate attempt to come to terms with the devastating affects of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. Juanita is currently working on her first feature, AS IF I'M NOT THERE, which shoots in Macedonia.
Juanita was awarded the bursary, by Stellan Skarsgard, at the Sarajevo Film Festival on 18 August, where THE DOOR was screened, along with Cary Fukunaga's first feature SIN NOMBRE. Cary Fukunaga received the Katrin Cartlidge Foundation Bursary 2007, curated by John Lyons.
